A Mass Deportation Constitutional Crisis is Looming
If states refuse to help in any way, what will the Federal Government do?
Several blue states and governors have pledged to withhold any state funding or personnel to help the Trump deportation plans.
“We will not spend one dime or allow any of our state law enforcement officers to help the federal government if they try to deport our citizens!”
What will the federal government do if states refuse to help? Will Immigration officers begin pulling people out of homes in the middle of the night while neighbors with cell phones and local news reporters watch and post the videos to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube?
Children screaming and crying as families are ripped apart, put in black unmarked vans and driven off. Can you imagine the horror, harking back to the internment of American citizens of Japanese Descent during WWII?

Do people really want this?
Are we this evil?
Stipulation: We can all agree that criminals from any nation who’ve entered this country legally or illegally, should be deported as well as those who commit crimes once here.
That said, we are talking about hard working immigrants, buying goods, paying rent, paying taxes, just like anyone else. Will we pull them off job sites, kids out of schools, in some cases, DACA children from college who don’t even speak Spanish?
Is this what most of you voted for?
The most fundamental problem facing democracy in our country and around the world is the almost wholesale ignorance of the electorate regarding the ultimate implications of their decision to award more, and often unaccountable power, to those who promise to enhance their living standard and to remove those from our country whom they blame for taking away citizens' resources and job opportunities. Never, under any circumstances, is it wise to grant an administration or a demagogue the right to do our thinking for us in the hope they'll fulfill the promises they made to us to grant them unlimited power. Former Pres. 45's victory in the 2024 presidential election is the gravest mistake our US electorate has made since the slave-states seceded from the Union in the Civil War. If folks thought they had it bad with a big influx of immigrants and higher prices for food and at the gas pump and to pay for housing, they can't conceivablly imagine how much worse placing their collective fates in the hands of an unprincipled, lying demagogue will be. And it's all based on a farce anyway: what former Pres. 45 calls his great economy he inherited from the Obama Administration, and the post-Covid inflation which has made life more of a struggle for working folks has diminished the standard of living in all the industrialized and advanced democracies. In the meantime, the number of undocumented immigrants entering our country has greatly diminished (and don't forget Biden was prepared to sign into law the bipartisan border security and immigration bill which even the Conservative leaders of the Senate said was the best bill signed for this purpose in a generation or more), and inflation in most areas has been going down steadily. So you're prepared to give up your 250 year old democracy for this, and place it in the hands of a man whose mismanagement of the Covid Crisis, including spreading massive misinformation, may have caused thousands of unnecessary deaths?
Guess what else is starting. Steve Bannon, 45's fascism-guru, is already announcing a massive prosecution by the DOJ of virtually everybody in the Biden Administration who had anything to do with (justifiably) prosecuting 45 for his numerous alleged crimes. We ain't seen anything yet, folks! What does this remind you of?
