Countdown to Dictatorship: D Minus 218 Days
Project 2025 is the playbook or Bible for the deconstruction of the Administrative State with an Executive Branch takeover
Note: I’ll be writing a daily “Countdown to Dictatorship” with an accompanying Podcast starting in early August where I will outline the look and substance of a 2nd Trump Term.
The Plan
Should Trump win the White House for a 2nd term, he won’t repeat the mistakes from his 1st. Rather than having adult men and women in the room to guide his administration through the many layers of government in an almost schooling or learning process, his entire focus, in a 2nd term, will be massive and immediate action as in his “Day One” comment to Sean Hannity, when asked if he will be a dictator.
Project 2025, by the Heritage Foundation, will be the bible or blueprint for a 2nd Trump term, “..we need both a governing agenda and people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on Day One….”.
John McEntee, seen here with the former president, will oversee all hiring to build the “army of aligned, vetted, trained, and prepared conservatives”.
The following is taken from page XIV of Project 2025, with the seminal goal highlighted in the first sentence. A Day One promise to deconstruct the administrative state. This is code for a massive realignment and increase of presidential/executive power with corresponding decrease in traditional Constitutional checks and balances.
Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise in Four Pillars
Our goal is to assemble an army of aligned, vetted, trained, and prepared conservatives to go to work on Day One to deconstruct the Administrative State. The project is built on four pillars.
Pillar I—this volume—puts in one place a consensus view of how major federal agencies must be governed and where disagreement exists brackets out these differences for the next President to choose a path.
Pillar II is a personnel database that allows candidates to build their own professional profiles and our coalition members to review and voice their recommendations. These recommendations will then be collated and shared with the President-elect’s team, greatly streamlining the appointment process.
Pillar III is the Presidential Administration Academy, an online educational system taught by experts from our coalition. For the newcomer, this will explain how the government functions and how to function in government. For the experienced, we will host in-person seminars with advanced training and set the bar for what is expected of senior leadership.
In Pillar IV—the Playbook—we are forming agency teams and drafting transition plans to move out upon the President’s utterance of “so help me God.”
Just after 12:00 noon, January 20, 2025
Immediately after Trump utters the words, “So help me God”, on his desk, in the Oval Office, there will be hundreds of Executive Orders (EO) to sign. These will be sweeping in scope, highly controversial, will have the force of law, prior to any court challenges, and will strike at the heart of the “Administrative State”.
According to the 2025 agenda, a president’s power is at it’s apex in the opening days of an administration. There will be no learning curve this time around. There will be no one to provide alternate points of view or to challenge the President in any way. No one will say no as the entire staff will have been vetted by John McEntee and the Heritage Foundation for any resistance. Those that can’t pass the two litmus tests need not apply.
First and foremost, a belief in the Big Lie is a must. Trump’s staff will be, if not outright election deniers, at the very least, will repeat the accusations of irregularities in the 2020 election. The 2nd test will be a public acknowledgement of a weaponized Biden DOJ with all of Trump’s state and federal cases as being politically motivated and false. This will be the composition of Trump’s cabinet and VP. There will be no naysayers in a 2nd Trump term.
Those of us who read your column know this stuff already. The voters who need to know this don’t have a clue. That is the issue we are up against. How to inform the American voters who aren’t MAGA.
They are also using Margaret Atwood’s novel “The Handmaid’s Tale” as an instruction manual for dealing with women & girls.
